How do I book an appointment?Please note that we only see patients whose family doctor is a member of the Nepean Family Health Organization. To book your same-day appointment please call us at 613-843-1612 during our opening hours (5:00 pm to 8:00pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 1:30 pm on weekends and statutory holidays).

Do you accept walk-ins?Patients are seen by appointment only. Walk-in FHO patients may have to wait and will be scheduled for the next open appointment (subject to availability). We strongly encourage patients to call in advance to book their appointment.

I can't make it to the clinic today, can I book an appointment for another day?We book for same-day appointments only. Please call on the day of to book your appointment. We recommend calling as soon as the phone lines open (5:00pm on weekdays, 9:00am on weekends and statutory holidays)

My healthcard is expired or lost, can I still book an appointment?If your health card is expired or lost, please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to fill out forms. You will have to renew your card and contact both the on-call FHO doctor and your family doctor, otherwise you will be charged a $60 fee.

Is parking available?There is free parking available in the Barrhaven Mall plaza parking lot. There are accessible parking spots directly in front of the clinic.

My family doctor is away, can you refill my prescriptions?If your Family Doctor is away, they should have another Doctor covering their patients who can refill prescriptions. If you have called your Doctor's office and are still unable to get your prescriptions filled, your pharmacy can provide you with a short emergency supply for most medications. If you have tried the above options and are still unable to to get your medications, the clinic may provide a refill with an appointment.

Do you provide virtual appointments?We provide in-person appointments at our clinic located in Nepean. We may provide virtual appointments for patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or in other rare exceptional circumstances. Please note that we only provide sick notes for in-person appointments.

Do you provide sick notes?The Doctor On Call can provide sick notes for in-person appointments only. Notes are subject to a $20 fee. Additional off-work forms may be subject to additional fees.

Do you do any procedures or minor surgeries?Some of our doctors may be able to do minor procedures in the clinic. Please call to ask if the doctor on call is offering a procedure, such as suturing minor wounds. If a wound can be glued, there is a $20 fee.

If I have tests done, where can I see the results?All clinic notes and tests results will be forwarded directly to your family doctor. If test results require follow up, your family doctor will contact you.
